About Data

The daily climate data described herein are contributed by the Agricultural Research Service, Grazinglands Research Laboratory, El Reno, OK. The data are provided for the 20 ARS Micronet stations in the Little Washita River Watershed and 15 Micronet stations in the Ft. Cobb Watershed. Prior to 2009, the data consisted of accumulated rainfall, relative humidity, air temperature at 1.5 m, solar radiation, soil temperatures at 5, 10, 15 and 30 cm below ground surface, and volumetric soil water content at 5, 25, and 45 cm. Skin temperature measurements are also available for some sites in the Little Washita Micronet. Beginning in February 2009 (for the Little Washita Watershed) and March 2009 (for the Fort Cobb Watershed), the data consist of accumulated rainfall, soil temperature at 5, 25, and 45 cm below ground surface, and volumetric soil water content at 5, 25, and 45 cm. A data quality indicator is provided for each data entry. A documentation file provides the necessary information on data units and quality indicators, as well as a disclaimer. For additional information on data, please go to the data policy page.
